Easton, PA is a small town in western Pennsylvania. During the war, Easton Pennsylvania had a population of approximately 33,500. During 1944, Easton was doing what a plethora of small communities were doing during World War II. They sent their brave men to war, and supported them in as many ways as possible. The town saw in an increase in pig iron production, and helped create many metal based equipment pieces for the soldiers, such as firearms and vehicles. The iron production in Easton helped make the US create more iron than the Axis powers combined.
